Veterinary Hospital Services Manager
ER MGR - Waukesha, WI - Full Time
WVRC Waukesha is seeking a Hospital Services Manager to lead the daily operations of our 24 hour Emergency service. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing and supporting team members, and ensuring an exceptional experience for both clients and patients.
This position is ideal for a strong, people-focused leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational oversight in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop a high-performing emergency team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth
- Partner closely with the Medical Director and Hospital Director to align operational and medical priorities
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and real-time resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care and team efficiency
- Drive an exceptional client experience from intake through discharge and follow-up
- Manage departmental operations, including workflow optimization, safety compliance, and equipment oversight
- Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking to meet hospital goals
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members
- Serve as a coach and mentor, guiding team members in professional development and non-clinical competencies
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (required)
- Strong operational and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
- Proven ability to lead in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the veterinary field (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Compensation starts at 75K/yr and is based on experience and skill set
