Clinical Operations Manager - Estero, FL - Full Time

The Florida Veterinary Referral Center (FVRC) in Estero, FL is hiring a full-time Clinical Operations Manager to lead our outstanding hospital team!

Compensation: Starting at $65,000 annually, based on experience and credentialing (LVT/CVT/RVT or non-credentialed leadership experience). Additional consideration may be given for highly experienced candidates.

Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Primarily daytime hours, with flexibility required to support hospital needs across days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

About the Role:

The Clinical Operations Manager (COM) is a key leadership position responsible for supporting high-quality patient care, exceptional client service, employee engagement, and efficient hospital operations. This role works closely with the Hospital Director, Medical Director, Business Operations Manager, and broader leadership team to ensure alignment across clinical, operational, and administrative functions.

The COM serves as a leader, coach, and operational expert—supporting supervisors and staff, driving accountability to hospital policies and SOPs, and helping build a strong, engaged, and high-performing team culture. This role also plays a critical part in advancing training programs, improving workflows, and ensuring operational excellence across all clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Operations Manager provides oversight of daily clinical and hospital operations, ensuring efficient workflow, appropriate staffing levels, and high-quality patient care across all departments. This role supports and optimizes scheduling, labor management, and staffing coordination in partnership with hospital leadership. The COM works closely with the Medical Director and leadership team to improve clinical workflows, case management, and overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include leading clinical training programs, onboarding, and cross-training initiatives to support ongoing staff development. The role ensures compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, OSHA standards, and controlled substance regulations while also overseeing equipment, inventory, maintenance, and facility operations. In addition, the COM supports employee engagement, performance management, and HR-related initiatives, and collaborates on budgeting, strategic planning, and continuous operational improvements. This position also partners with marketing and referral teams to support hospital growth and relationships, while assisting with recruiting efforts and ensuring a positive candidate and onboarding experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience (ER, ICU, or specialty preferred)
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required (clinical operations or team management preferred)
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of veterinary hospital operations, workflows, and patient care standards
  • Experience with scheduling, staffing, and team coordination, knowledge of OSHA, DEA, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and hospital management software
  • Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
