Additional $5.50/hour differential for hours worked between 6pm – 6am
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and fully functional environment throughout the hospital facility. This role supports daily operations through janitorial services, minor building maintenance, inventory management, and facility upkeep to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency are consistently met.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas including hallways, restrooms, treatment areas, offices, and common spaces
Perform routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, dusting, polishing, and waste removal
Complete minor building and equipment repairs as needed
Operate and maintain janitorial tools, cleaning equipment, and floor care machines safely and effectively
Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning, maintenance, and facility supplies using online ordering systems
Assist with moving, arranging, and setting up furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility
Follow all safety, sanitation, and facility maintenance procedures
Respond promptly to facility-related requests and support operational needs across departments
Maintain a professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach in a fast-paced hospital environment
Perform additional facility support duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, janitorial products, and floor care techniques
Basic experience with building maintenance and minor facility repairs preferred
Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and maintenance tools
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and online ordering platforms such as Amazon or Staples
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Comfortable using computers and completing digital tasks
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while working independently or as part of a team
Work Environment
Fast-paced veterinary specialty and emergency hospital setting
Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or supplies throughout the shift
