Join Our Team as an Oncology Coordinator!
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for exotic animals and outstanding organizational skills? At Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) located in West Springfield, we’re seeking an Oncology Veterinary Coordinator to support our Medical Oncology team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client and patient care.

Schedule:

  • Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
Compensation: Based on knowledge & experience
  • $20 – $25
  • Shift Differential where applicable
Key Responsibilities:
As the Oncology Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our department, supporting our specialists and delivering top-notch service to clients and referring veterinarians (RDVMs). Key duties include:
  • Acting as a liaison between the hospital, RDVMs, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely updates.
  • Scheduling consultations, rechecks, and procedures for oncology patients, while maintaining accurate records and estimates.
  • Preparing client and patient files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and organized.
  • Monitoring and addressing oncology department emails, prescription refill requests, lab results, and appointment confirmations.
  • Coordinating daily task lists for doctors and technicians to ensure seamless workflows.
  • Sending client updates, sympathy cards, and RDVM communications promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining and purging oncology files in accordance with hospital policies.
