
The Florida Veterinary Referral Center (FVRC) in Estero, FL is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead our outstanding ER & ICU team!
Compensation: Starting at $28/hr minimum, based on experience and credentialing (LVT/CVT/RVT). Additional compensation may be considered for highly experienced credentialed candidates.
Schedule: Full-time, flexible scheduling based on hospital needs (40+ hours). This role requires availability for a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Veterinary Technician Supervisor plays a key leadership role within our Emergency & Critical Care departments. This position is responsible for training, mentoring, and supervising our technical team while also working hands-on in a clinical capacity. You’ll partner closely with the Hospital Director to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient hospital operations, and a positive, collaborative team environment. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technician ready to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and team development.
The Veterinary Technician Supervisor will lead, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and assistants within the ER and ICU, fostering a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture. This role is responsible for training and developing staff through ongoing coaching, skill assessments, and structured learning opportunities, while also creating and managing team schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and control overtime. In partnership with hospital leadership, the supervisor will support overall operations, including case flow, quality of patient care, and the client experience, while also assisting with performance management, employee relations, and team development. The position includes facilitating team meetings and continuing education initiatives, as well as ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards such as OSHA and DEA requirements. In addition to leadership duties, the supervisor will work alongside the team in a hands-on capacity, performing technical tasks such as anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiographs, and providing advanced care for critical patients.
