Maritime Veterinary Emergency + Specialty Centre (MVESC) is hiring a Kennel Attendant to join our growing team in our brand-new, 24,000-square-foot emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital, including kennels, treatment areas, laundry, dishes, and common spaces
- Restock hospital supplies and ensure work areas remain organized
- Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care needs
- Observe animal behavior and wellbeing, reporting concerns promptly to the medical team
- Assist with safe animal restraint when needed
- Complete additional hospital support duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Able to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and cleaning throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
