Avets is seeking a Site Operations Coordinator to support our Facility Manager in overseeing the day-to-day functionality of our hospital environment. From maintaining medical equipment to assisting with basic IT support and coordinating facility upkeep, this role is essential in ensuring our high-acuity hospital operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.
Provide first-line support for basic IT issues (computers, printers, phones, connectivity)
Coordinate with external IT support for escalations
Assist with onboarding/offboarding hardware and workstation setup
Track hospital IT assets and maintenance schedules
Enter invoice/coding data; verify and resolve discrepancies
Maintain routine service and calibration schedules for medical equipment
Coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
Manage documentation for safety checks and compliance
Monitor and order medical gas supplies
Assist staff in identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues
Support general repairs, upkeep, and maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, lighting)
Serve as main point of contact for vendors and service providers in Facility Manager’s absence
Complete minor repairs and coordinate larger jobs with appropriate services
Conduct routine inspections and ensure OSHA/fire/safety compliance
Provide daily direction to custodial staff
Participate in on-call emergency response schedule
Prior experience in facilities, operations, or technical support (healthcare or veterinary preferred)
Basic understanding of IT systems and support
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and move equipment
Comfortable in a 24/7, fast-paced medical environment
Experience with veterinary or medical equipment
Familiarity with OSHA or AAHA regulatory standards
Basic networking/computer systems knowledge
Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, HVAC, electrical)
Full-time, on-site position
Flexibility required for occasional after-hours or weekend emergencies
On-call availability for urgent facility needs
