HR Generalist –Veterinary Specialty Hospital

We are seeking an on-site HR Generalist to provide support for our emergency and specialty veterinary hospital team!
Location: Roseville, CA (On-site, 5 days per week)
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000/yr. Exempt.
About the Role: As a key member of our People Team, you will serve as the primary HR resource for our team. This is an on-site position with the potential for future growth as the organization expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site HR contact for employees and managers, fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.
- Manage employee relations issues, addressing workplace concerns promptly and effectively.
- Lead onboarding for new hires, including documentation, orientation, Dayforce system support, and benefits enrollment.
- Support HR initiatives such as open enrollment and other organizational programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and wage/hour regulations.
- Collaborate with the People Team and participate in HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR or HR Generalist role.
- Experience with employment laws and wage/hour regulations required.
- California HR certification strongly preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems; Ceridian/Dayforce experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and support a positive workplace environment.
