Care Center, Cincinnati is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team and play a key role in advanced medical, diagnostic, and radiation therapy procedures.
Schedule and Compensation:
Monday – Thursday, 8am-6pm
$25-35/hr, based on experience, skill set, & certification
The Oncology Technicians assist the Oncologist in delivering precise and efficient patient care. They ensures smooth patient flow and conducts various procedures, including radiographs, lab work, and chemotherapy administration. This role is expected to have significant and compassionate client communication: in-person, phone calls and electronically. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills. The technician is also responsible for thorough and accurate medical documentation in the hospital's PIMS and Whiteboard systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Perform lab work, radiographs, and sample submission.
Appropriately handle chemotherapy medications per hospital standards
Proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture skills
Administer chemotherapy treatments as directed by Oncologist
Timely, thorough and accurate patient care client interactions including collecting history for appointments and medication management and refills.
Ensuring a smooth and excellent client experience through communication, schedule management, and answering questions/concerns.
Skill Requirements:
Strong ability to multitask and anticipate needs.
Excellent communication both written and verbal.
Venipuncture skills with a high level of accuracy.
Attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
