Veterinary Surgery Technician – AESC (Parker, CO)
Pay: $25–$35/hr (DOE) + on-call bonuses + $3,000 sign-on bonus
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7am–5pm + on-call shifts (one weeknight per week, one weekend every other month)
Location: Parker, Colorado (just outside of Denver)

AESC’s surgery department supports three board-certified surgeons and a board-certified anesthesiologist. We’re seeking an experienced RVT/CVT/LVT who wants to use and grow their anesthesia and surgical skills in a hands-on, collaborative environment. - Job Duties
- Administer, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia under surgeon/anesthesiologist supervision
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative surgical nursing care
- Perform advanced technical skills:
- IV catheter and arterial line placement
- Epidurals and regional blocks (with training)
- Ventilator operation
- Splinting and bandaging
- Scrub into orthopedic, soft tissue, and laparoscopic procedures
- Support surgeon appointments (consults, rechecks, outpatient care)
- Take high-quality radiographs
- Collaborate with ER, Critical Care, and specialty services
- Maintain accurate records in ezyVet and SmartFlow
- Communicate compassionately and effectively with clients regarding care, estimates, and discharges
- Participate in the emergency surgery on-call rotation
Minimum Qualifications
- 1 year work experience as a Veterinary Technician in a surgery/anesthesia-focused role
- RVT in Colorado (or eligible upon hire)
- Possesses a strong anesthesia skill set
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in surgical nursing, and critical care
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy specialty hospital
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- 2 years of experience running anesthesia in a specialty setting with board certified surgeons.
Compensation + Benefits
- $25–$35/hour, DOE
- $465 call-in fee per case, plus overtime (technicians typically earn $6,500–$10,000 extra/year)
- $3,000 sign-on bonus
