The Nursing Manager plays a critical leadership role within VERC, partnering closely with medical and operational leaders to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient workflows, and a thriving nursing team. This role blends strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership and is ideal for a motivated leader ready to make a lasting impact.
Set and communicate a clear vision for the nursing department aligned with hospital goals
Provide strong, visible leadership that supports excellence in emergency patient care
Oversee daily nursing operations, addressing escalated issues and removing workflow barriers
Develop and execute nursing strategies that support organizational priorities
Translate long-term goals into actionable, measurable initiatives
Mentor nursing supervisors and develop emerging leaders
Support ongoing education, skill development, and career growth across the nursing team
Build and maintain a resilient, high-performing team in a high-acuity environment
Monitor performance, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that promote accountability and consistency
Credentialed Veterinary Technician/Nurse (LVT, RVT, CVT, or equivalent)
Significant experience in emergency and/or specialty veterinary medicine
Proven leadership experience managing teams in a clinical setting
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; multilingual skills a plus
