$75,000 - 80,000/ annually

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm (one day per week = 10am - 6pm)


Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking an inspiring, results-driven Practice Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our hospital. Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, you will champion our culture while leading the Operations and Client Service teams to peak performance.
From optimizing patient flow and supporting staff through high-stakes client interactions to driving P&L targets, onboarding top talent, and streamlining daily workflows, you will be instrumental in the overall financial, operational, and reputational success of our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Hospital Director
  • Oversee Operations Manager, Client Service Manager and subsequent team
  • Monitoring and managing team performance and productivity
  • Overseeing billing processes, daily reconciliations, and account follow-ups
  • Handling escalated client interactions and supporting staff in emotionally charged situations
  • With Hospital Director, oversee Facility and Inventory Manager and projects
  • Collaborate with Hospital Director on key initiatives to optimize total hospital health and sustainability including awareness of financial targets and goals
  • Work with Nurse Coordinator, Education Manager, Hospital Director and Department Leads to create Support Team schedules
  • Maintain operational integrity with PIMS software
  • Enforce and uphold MTL’s policies and procedures, including correcting violations
  • Work with Hospital Director to create and streamline new and existing SOP’s and policies
  • Monitor and improve patient and client flow through all stages of care – from arrival to discharge.
  • Run analytic reports through PIMS software for data sourcing
  • Physical demands of this role include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
  • Gain insight and understanding of hospital P&L and budgets
  • Assist with candidate selection for hospital roles, including support team interviews and hiring
  • Timely and accurate processing of payroll through payroll processing platform
  • Coordinating onboarding of all new hires with HR to ensure all tasks including creating Bamboo, Ezyvet, Dayforce, smartflow and email accounts prior to start date.  Setting up for background checks and drug screening if applicable and making sure all new hire training is completed as required.
  • Exemplify MTL’s values and beliefs with the intent to foster positive culture
  • Attend all required meetings (assistant, LVT, Department, Admin, CCS and DVM)
  • Provide hospital support and guidance in the absence of the Hospital Director
  • Be a self-starter and have a positive growth mindset
  • Any other duties or tasks assigned by Hospital Director

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT required).

  • Minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in anesthesia or specialty medicine.

  • Strong technical skills including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgical nursing, radiography, and perioperative patient care.

  • Knowledge of anesthetic protocols, drug calculations, CPR, and emergency patient management.

  • Ability to accurately calculate medication dosages and work confidently with advanced medical equipment.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and detail-oriented in fast-paced and emotionally challenging situations.
