Bulger Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our General Practice team in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized client service professional who enjoys helping pets and the people who love them while supporting a collaborative veterinary team.
As a Veterinary Receptionist / Client Concierge at Bulger, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients throughout their visit while partnering closely with doctors, Veterinary Technicians, and clinical teams to deliver an exceptional hospital experience.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Responsibilities As a Veterinary Receptionist / Client Concierge, you will:
Welcome clients and pets while providing a warm, personalized experience throughout their visit
Serve as a primary point of contact for General Practice clients from arrival through discharge
Coordinate appointments including consultations, rechecks, procedures, and drop-offs
Support multi-department scheduling when needed
Admit and discharge patients while maintaining accurate client and patient records
Communicate with clients regarding appointments, treatment updates, estimates, follow-up care, and next steps
Review upcoming appointments to ensure records and documentation are complete before the visit
Process payments, invoices, estimates, and assist with billing-related questions
Coordinate with doctors and hospital departments to ensure a seamless client and patient experience
Address client questions and concerns with professionalism, compassion, and excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary Client Service Representative, Medical Receptionist, Medical Secretary, or in a customer-facing healthcare role preferred
Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy veterinary hospital setting
Comfortable handling scheduling, medical records, and financial transactions with accuracy
Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
