The Veterinary Technician Manager is a leader and is integral to the Pet+ER - Columbia, veterinary hospital management team. The Veterinary Technician Manager partners with the management team and the Hospital Director to provide a smooth and profitable operation by creating a hospital culture based on high quality emergency patient care and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing, planning, and coordinating the hospital's overall operations and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment while working alongside the technician and assistant staff. A Veterinary Technician Manager leads by example and exemplifies caring, compassionate, dedicated behavior and speech.
Compensation: Based on experience & skill level. $55k - 67k/ annually.
Job Responsibilities: This is a daily in- hospital position managing and working alongside a team of technicians.
Staff mentorship
Work alongside technicians and assisting with procedures, appointments, and work- ups
Scheduling & payroll
Conducting staff meetings, corrective actions and process improvement plans
Supervising the Inventory Assistant Manager, Cubex, & Vetcove
Executing doctor and employee requests
Overseeing training programs for surgery, shift leads, and overall staff
Hiring, onboarding, new hire orientation, termination, offboarding
Conducting monthly 1- on- 1's, 90 day and annual performance reviews
Assisting on the treatment floor, training staff, ensuring high standard of care is provided to our patients and clients
Creating and implementing hospital SOP's/ Policies/ Procedures
Team building and activities to boost moral
Qualifications:
3 - 5 years of experience in a Veterinary Technician role. Including customer service experience
Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
Experience in a hospital setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.

Schedule:
Flexible - Based off needs of a 24/7 hospital
Must be available to work some weekends

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Veterinary Technician
Minimum 3 years' experience in leadership
