Our compensation for this role depends on skillset, experience, licensure and typically falls between $28.00 and $36.00 plus on-call pay and bonus. Vista Veterinary Specialists is looking for a full-time assistant clinical supervisor for our Emergency and Critical Care Department! As an Assistant Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing floor level leadership, direction, and guidance to the ECC department. Our ideal candidate will lead their clinical teams for the ECC department with a focus on high-quality, efficient, supportive, and personalized care for all clients.
About the Role:
Oversees workflow of staff and ECC department. This includes delegating/re-prioritizing tasks for the team, reallocation of team resources, and directing patient flow through the hospital (triage, admit, discharge)
Assists the Clinical Supervisor in execution of training plans for the team, both new and existing team members.
Ensures adequate staffing levels of support staff across designated departments to provide effective medical services and an optimal client experience. This can include coordinating staff meal breaks, reaching out to per diem staff for coverage, etc.
Understands workflow of the department.
Regularly evaluates patient/client and staff data to support delivery of exceptional patient and client care.
Provides input with problem-solving efforts for daily operations.
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships across the hospital. Clear ability to get along.
Promotes and monitors client service/hospitality expectations and delivery.
Advocates satisfaction of internal and external customers. Attempts initial resolutions with client grievances and partners with direct manager for escalated issues,
Facilitates open channels of communication with managers, peers, and staff. Can include coaching/teaching of team to improve quality of medicine and staff skills.
Assists with coordinating interdepartmental functioning to achieve the highest level of communication and efficiency.
Administrative duties may include but are not limited do: End-of-shift reports, observational interviews of new recruits, assisting with minor inventory tasks.
About You:
College or technical school education or equivalent work experience
Experienced and anesthesia trained veterinary technician
Demonstrate effective leadership qualities, such as adjusting communication style to optimize interactions, even-keeled demeanor and a solution-oriented mindset.
Must have mathematical abilities to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, addition, subtraction, multiplication division and proportions to practical situations
Demonstrate analytic abilities to identify and analyze problems, weighs relevance and accuracy of information to provide effective solutions
