ICU Emergency Veterinary Technician, Route 66 VECCC

Our team of 9 expert DVMs, including a board-certified Criticalist, is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to every patient.Are you passionate about helping animals in their most critical moments? Key Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Veterinary Technician in our ICU, you will play a vital role in providing life-saving care to pets. Your duties include:- Assessing and stabilizing critically ill patients in the ICU, working closely with our veterinary team.
- Administering medications and treatments under the guidance of our experienced veterinarians.
- Monitoring patients post-surgery to ensure proper recovery and care.
- Offering compassionate support to anxious pet owners, keeping them updated on their pets’ condition.
- Maintaining accurate medical records.
- Collaborating with veterinarians and other team members to deliver the best possible care.
Schedule:- 3x12 hour shift
- 4x10 hour shifts when availability allows
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

What We’re Looking For:- Preferred but not required: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.
- 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician
- Prior experience in emergency and critical care is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.
- A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.
