Veterinary Clinical Supervisor
Specialty Clinical Supervisor - Waukesha, WI - Full Time
Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI is seeking a dedicated Clinical Supervisor to oversee our growing Specialty team.
Summary:
Under general supervision of the Hospital Director, and direct supervision of a Hospital Service Manager, this individual leads the clinical team with a focus on high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, supportive and personalized care for all clients and patients. Ensures adequate staffing levels support staff across designated departments in order to provide effective medical services and an optimal client experience. Serves as the liaison between leadership and the staff. Supports and exemplifies the mission, vision and core values of the company.
Responsibilities (in addition to technical responsibilities):Summary:

- This role requires 25% admin and 75% clinical work. 25% admin work will supervise two Specialty departments. 75% clinical work will be as veterinary technician of one or both of the departments being supervised.
- Participates in identifying and planning for staffing consistent with needs of client population and budgetary parameters.
- Understands workflow of various departments.
- Provides input with problem-solving efforts for daily operations.
- Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships across the hospital.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, communication, and cooperation among team members.
- Advocates satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Serves as the hospital “go to” in accordance with assigned duty schedule.
- Collaborates with staff at all levels and departments to streamline delivery of services without compromising care or hospitality.
- Participates in hiring and on-boarding of staff and coaching.
- Coordinates the required training and skills of staff.
- Responsible for establishing staff schedule.
- CVT license is required for the position.
- Proficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisor/leadership role or overseeing projects is highly preferred.
- Must possess and demonstrate effective leadership qualities.
- Ability to promote effective oral and written communication amongst team members.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions
