We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, prioritizing patients with the most severe or life-threatening conditions through a thorough triage process. Our skilled veterinary team ensures that all dogs and cats, regardless of breed or size, receive top-notch care, from diagnostics to life-saving surgeries.
The Hospital Manager at EAHCC will have the opportunity to put her/his outstanding leadership skills to great use overseeing an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital. This position offers the chance to make an immediate and lasting impact on staff, clients, and patients while at the same time being part of our national network of veterinary hospitals across the country. The ideal salary range for the opportunity is $60,000-$80,000/yr. The final compensation offer will be based on the qualified candidate’s experience and ability to make an impact coming into the role.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership and People Management
- Manage Client Experience schedule and delegate duties.
- Lead team meetings on improvements, skill development, and new initiatives.
- Oversee support staff schedules and coordinate with OM/MD to align with business needs.
- Supervise daily operations, provide leadership, and foster growth.
- Collaborate with leadership on financial and cultural goals, problem-solving, and workload distribution.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a client-focused team; ensure continuous learning.
- Conduct coaching and performance evaluations; resolve interpersonal issues.
- Model team agreements and ensure clear communication of policies.
Financial and Procurement
- Manage budget, track expenses, and enhance profitability.
- Process transactions, reconcile finances, and oversee petty cash.
- Handle vendor communications for Accounts Payable/Receivable.
- Reconcile inventory, monitor variances, and support controlled substance ordering.
- Troubleshoot software issues and promote early adoption of new tools.
Client Service
- Set standards for client service, analyze client journeys, and make improvements.
- Track KPIs (e.g., client satisfaction) and develop plans to meet goals.
Qualifications:
- Client-focused with strong team development skills.
- Minimum 2 years experience in veterinary medicine (5 years preferred)
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Proficient in budget management, communication, and problem-solving.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and scheduling software; veterinary platform experience preferred.
- Strong planning, presentation, and objective assessment abilities.
- Able to multitask and manage stress in a dynamic environment.
