MissionVet is a multi-disciplinary veterinary specialty and emergency hospital, and we are currently seeking an ER Veterinary Technician to help us continue to build our specialty practice and work in Emergency and Inpatient Care. Compensation
- $20 - $23/hr., depending on experience
- + $3/hr. partial overnight differentials offered
- +$1/hr. weekend differentials offered
Schedule
- Full Time
- Friday: 7:00am - 7:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 2:00pm – 2:00am

Job Description
The Emergency Veterinary Technician provides exceptional nursing care and technical support for critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role works closely with veterinarians to perform advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures while ensuring compassionate care for patients and clear communication with clients.

The Emergency Veterinary Technician provides exceptional nursing care and technical support for critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role works closely with veterinarians to perform advanced diagnostic, treatment, anesthesia, and monitoring procedures while ensuring compassionate care for patients and clear communication with clients.
Responsibilities
As an ER Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing life-saving care to pets. Your duties include:
- Experience or familiarity with emergency care, including advanced ICU monitoring, CRI calculations, and fluid rate management.
- Assessing and stabilizing critically ill patients while working closely with the veterinary team.
- Administering medications and treatments under the direction of experienced veterinarians.
- Providing compassionate support to concerned pet owners and keeping them informed about their pets' condition.
- Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record-keeping.
- Collaborating with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Skilled Technicians with at least two years of experience.
- Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
- The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.
- A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.
