Radiation Oncology Licensed Veterinary Technician, ASC

Anticipated Schedule:
- Ideally four 10-hour shifts
- NO WEEKENDS!
- $28 - $39 pending skills assessment leveling
As the primary technician supporting our Radiation Oncologist(s), you will play a key role in assisting with treatments, diagnostic procedures, and compassionate care for oncology patients. Your professionalism, patience, and kindness will shine as you provide exceptional support to clients both in person and on the phone.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct appointment intake and record patient history
- Accurately document histories, treatments, and diagnostics in EzyVet software
- Gain proficiency in EzyVet and SmartFlow within the first 30 days
- Manage department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation
- Assist with exams, treatments, and diagnostics, including radiation therapy and chemotherapy
- Obtain and process lab samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
- Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events
- Maintain all equipment to ensure patient safety and best practices
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot linear accelerator (LINAC)
- Educate clients on oncology disease processes, treatments, and medication
- Review estimates and discharges with clients
We’re looking for a confident and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician who is passionate about delivering outstanding client service and exceptional patient care. You bring strong experience in in-patient care, venipuncture, radiology, and in-house laboratory operations, along with a solid understanding of veterinary medicine and disease processes.
You’re a proactive team player who takes initiative, pitches in wherever needed, and contributes to the success of the entire hospital. With excellent communication skills, you understand the importance of clear, compassionate interaction with both clients and colleagues. You thrive in a positive, respectful, and uplifting team culture and genuinely enjoy working with others who share those values.
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT)
- At least 1+ year of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Proficient in: phlebotomy, catheter placement, patient restraint, radiographs, lab work, pharmacology, and fluid/oxygen administration
- Radiation oncology experience and familiarity with LINAC is a plus, but not required
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role
