Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team. Compensation
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): $24–$34/hour
Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS): $35–$42/hour

What You'll Do
As an Internal Medicine Technician, you'll be an integral part of patient care by:
- Monitoring anesthesia, including patient induction, intubation, extubation, and recovery
- Monitoring patient vital signs and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment
- Collecting and preparing blood samples for diagnostic testing
- Performing and processing diagnostic radiographs
- Assisting with abdominal ultrasound procedures
- Participating in endoscopic procedures, including biopsy collection and equipment maintenance
- Providing exceptional nursing care and patient advocacy
- Educating clients on common internal medicine conditions, including:
- Diabetes
- Kidney disease and kidney failure
- Immune-mediated diseases
- Cushing's disease
- Gastrointestinal disorders and other chronic medical conditions
- Collaborating with specialists and support teams to provide outstanding patient outcomes

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring
- Experience processing laboratory samples
- Working knowledge of radiographic techniques
- Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills

- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology
