About the job:
Some key responsibilities you will own in this role include:

  • Assisting veterinarians in oncology procedures and treatments.
  • Monitoring patients during chemotherapy and radiation therapy sessions.
  • Providing compassionate care and support to both patients and their owners.
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and preparing samples for analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with protocols.
Compensation:

  • With our location and shift differentials earn between $22 and $38/hour depending on overall experience
  • Our location differential is 10% of base pay
  • Our swing shift differentials are $3/hour
  • Our overnight shift differentials are $5/hour

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time with flexibility for scheduling Monday-Saturday

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, RVT license preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
