Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor | Emergency & Specialty | $36.00–$43.00/hr + Differentials + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time | Poulsbo, WA
Compensation
$36.00–$43.00 per hour, depending on experience
$5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time hires
$3.00/hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM
$2.00/hour weekend differential from midnight Saturday through midnight Sunday
Double-time pay for call-ins and holidays

Day and swing shift opportunities available

Shift Supervisor (Licensed Veterinary Technician)
Are you an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician ready to take the next step in your career? Animal Emergency and Specialty Center is seeking a Shift Supervisor (LVT) to provide floor leadership, support team development, and help ensure exceptional patient care in our emergency and specialty hospital.
This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys mentoring others, coordinating hospital workflow, fostering accountability, and helping create a positive and collaborative culture. You'll work closely with hospital leadership while serving as a key resource for technicians, assistants, and support staff throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to clinical team members during assigned shifts
Coordinate workflow to promote efficient patient care and hospital operations
Monitor staffing needs and assist with daily resource allocation
Mentor, coach, and support Licensed Veterinary Technicians and support staff
Participate in performance management, training, and professional development initiatives
Promote accountability, teamwork, and positive communication across departments
Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
Support implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and patient care standards
Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify operational improvements
Maintain a strong clinical presence and assist with patient care as needed
Help ensure a safe, respectful, and productive work environment
Qualifications
Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in good standing or ability to obtain Washington licensure
Previous emergency, specialty, or advanced clinical veterinary experience preferred
Prior leadership, mentorship, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced environments
Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and support team performance
Commitment to exceptional patient care and team development
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
