Veterinary Client Care Liaison
This is a full- time position with weekends and holiday's included.
Position Overview:
A Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) with light tech assistant duties combines client-facing administrative tasks with basic technical support for veterinary procedures. This hybrid role requires a mix of customer service skills and fundamental clinical knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Interaction:
- Greeting clients and their pets.
- Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments.
- Providing information on services, procedures, and pet care.
- Handling client inquiries and concerns.
- Managing patient records and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Processing payments and managing billing.
- Coordinating with veterinary staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Sending reminders for appointments, vaccinations, and follow-ups.
- Ensuring a positive client experience through friendly and professional interactions.
- Addressing and resolving client complaints and issues.
1. Basic Animal Care:
- Assisting in handling and restraining animals during examinations.
- Preparing animals for procedures by ensuring they are calm and comfortable.
- Cleaning and maintaining examination rooms and cages
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail in maintaining records and scheduling appointments.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of animal handling and care.
- Familiarity with veterinary management software and basic office applications.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform basic clinical tasks accurately.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Courses or certifications in veterinary assisting or related fields can be advantageous but are not always required.
- On-the-job training provided by the veterinary clinic.
- Basic training in animal handling and veterinary procedures.
In this hybrid role, the CSR ensures effective communication and coordination between clients and the veterinary team while supporting the clinic's technical and clinical functions. This dual responsibility helps maintain a smooth operation and enhances the quality of care provided to pets and their owners.
