Position Summary
We are hiring a Kennel Technician to provide compassionate care and support to hospitalized and boarding animals in our fast-paced emergency hospital. You'll work closely with our medical team to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for pets and their families.
Responsibilities
Animal Care
Feed, medicate, and monitor animals as instructed by veterinary staff
Observe and report behavioral or medical changes
Bathe, groom, and exercise animals as needed
Comfort stressed or anxious animals in a medical setting
Sanitation & Facility Maintenance
Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and hospital areas
Manage laundry and maintain clean bedding and towels
Restock food, cleaning supplies, and medical materials
Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and biohazard safety
Team & Client Support
Assist veterinary technicians during treatments and procedures
Help with patient drop-offs and pick-ups
Communicate clearly with clients and coworkers
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous animal care experience preferred (kennel, shelter, or vet clinic)
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for long periods
Exposure to noise, cleaning agents, and animal-related allergens

This position features a fixed rotating schedule of one week of 3 12-hour shifts, and one week of 4 10-hour shifts. Scheduling is generally 12 PM - 12 AM or 2 PM to 12 AM, although the schedule is subject to change.
