Compensation

$29–$35/hr based on experience
Evening & overnight shift premiums available


Schedule

Full-time, permanent role
64 hours per pay period minimum

Typical schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (no weekends)

Technologists typically work 3–4 shifts per week (8–10 hours per shift) with rotation design focused on protected time off and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

As an RVT in Internal Medicine within a high-volume emergency and critical care hospital, you will:

  • Support internal medicine diagnostics, treatments, and ongoing case management
  • Perform and assist with advanced patient monitoring and triage assessments
  • Manage multiple concurrent cases in a fast-paced 24/7 environment
  • Deliver compassionate, high-standard nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients
  • Collaborate closely with DVMs, RVTs, and assistants across departments
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold AAHA standards of care
  • Contribute to mentorship and support of students and newer team members

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or eligible recent graduate preparing for VTNE
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
  • Strong interest or experience in internal medicine, emergency, or critical care
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative team medicine
  • Commitment to continuing education and maintaining professional registration
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach to care
