Veterinary Liaison Medical Oncology
Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking full-time Medical Liaison to join our Medical Oncology team.

About the Role: Veterinary Medical Liaison will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills at all times to represent the organization, perform day-to-day operations of the front desk, and act as a liaison between clients and our specialty departments.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Welcome our clients in a friendly, helpful, and compassionate manner
- Prepare and review documents and medical records accurately and completely
- Educate and advise clients regarding Veterinary Specialty Hospital services and practices
- Process emergencies, and client requests while ensuring the highest quality of care and satisfaction for our clients at all times, in person and over the phone.
- Process admissions and discharges accurately; schedule follow up appointments as necessary
- Process invoices and payments accurately, provide clients with financial options and help with financial assistance applications.
- Update and maintain client/pet records and files in accordance with Veterinary Specialty Hospital legal requirements
- Assist with other administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, emailing, for example.
- Coordinate interdepartmental communications pertaining to pet status updates, changes in treatment plan and associated costs, and relay information to the client.
- Consistently monitor the progress of the pet from check-in to check-out and provide ongoing communication to the client.
- Facilitate client presence in treatment during critical emergencies and hospitalized patient visits. Act as a liaison between the medical team and the client to ensure everyone’s safety and positive patient care outcomes.
Wage Ranges: $23 - $30 per hour, dependent upon experience and education.
Schedule: Day shift Monday-Friday
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience in animal health industry.
- Exceptional communication skills (both in person and by telephone).
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities within a busy clinical setting.
- Ability to effectively work as a member of a diverse team of clinical and administrative professionals.
- Pride in maintaining assigned areas in a hospital environment.
- Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn the electronic medical record system.
- Able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Understanding of medical/veterinary terminology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of customer service experience, particularly in the field of veterinary medicine.
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Experience in a specialty veterinary facility
