You'll work alongside specialists across Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Critical Care, Radiology, Acupuncture, General Practice, and Emergency Medicine, gaining valuable experience while contributing to outstanding patient outcomes.


In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative process.

  • Monitor anesthesia during specialty surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety and homeostasis.

  • Prepare patients for surgery, including IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and anesthetic support.

  • Assist surgeons during soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

  • Calculate, administer, and monitor medications, anesthetic agents, and intravenous fluid therapy.

  • Operate and monitor IV fluid pumps and other surgical support equipment.

  • Recognize subtle changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to pain, deterioration, or recovery.

  • Provide attentive nursing care to critically ill and post-operative patients.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with the surgical team.

  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary hospital.

  • Strong anesthesia monitoring skills required.

  • Proficiency in patient intubation, IV catheter placement, and venipuncture.

  • Experience calculating and administering medications and managing IV fluid therapy.

  • Strong understanding of disease processes, patient assessment, and treatment protocols.

  • Ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.

  • Experience caring for critically ill and surgical patients.

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
