Veterinary Internal Medicine Technician

Compensation:
- Starting at $22 hourly, based on experience and skills
- Full Time
- Tuesday - Friday or Wednesday – Saturday
- Schedule Hours- TBD
The successful candidate will work alongside a board-certified Veterinary Internist, specialists, and patient care personnel to provide exceptional client service and the highest standard of patient care. Our Internal Medicine department collaborates with multiple specialty services, including Neurology, Oncology, Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Dentistry & Oral Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, and Rehabilitation & Fitness. Internal Medicine technicians play a vital role in supporting AVES’s commitment to 24/7/365 veterinary care by contributing to on-call services, holiday coverage, and occasional support in other departments.
Desired Skills and Duties:

- venipuncture
- anesthesia monitoring
- drug dose calculation
- strong interest in internal medicine
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 2 years of experience, dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
- Prior experience in Emergency and specialty hospital is preferred.

- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center (AVES) has been established in the Austin community for 10 years serving the Austin pet community. We are a robust 24/7/365 multi-disciplinary veterinary facility that offers Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Neurology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology services. In approximately 1 year, we will be relocating our hospital to a new location (within 2.6 miles from our current location) which will allow us to expand our services and provide growth opportunities for our staff.
