About SAGE Redwood City
SAGE Redwood City is a leading specialty and emergency veterinary hospital serving the San Francisco Bay Area. As part of Ethos Veterinary Health, our team combines advanced medicine, experienced veterinary professionals, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Our Urgent Care service provides an important bridge between primary care and emergency medicine, caring for patients who need prompt evaluation and treatment but may not require the level of intensive intervention found in the emergency or ICU setting.
In Your Day-to-Day

Hands-On Patient Care: Provide nursing care, administer medications and treatments as directed, assist with procedures, and monitor patients throughout their visit.
Diagnostics: Collect samples and perform laboratory testing, including blood work, urinalysis, and cytology. Assist with radiology and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
Procedure Support: Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, sedation, and other urgent-care procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Patient Monitoring: Monitor sedated patients and patients recovering from procedures, recognizing and communicating changes in patient status promptly.
Client Education: Help clients understand medications, home-care instructions, follow-up recommendations, and the treatment plan for their pet.
Accurate Medical Records: Maintain complete and timely patient records, documenting treatments, diagnostics, medications, and patient responses.
Medication & Treatment Calculations: Perform accurate calculations for medications, CRIs, invoices, estimates, and other clinical needs.
Team Communication: Communicate clearly with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members to keep patient care moving efficiently.
