Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Animal Emergency Clinic of Fraser Valley
$30–40 CAD/hr based on experience + $4 shift differential for evening & overnight hours | Sign-on bonus up to $5,000
Full-time opportunity in Langley, British Columbia, Canada
Schedule: Full-time, permanent (3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week; one weekend shift per month required; rotating schedule including some statutory holidays). Part-time positions considered based on staffing needs—typically evenings, weekends, and overnights.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Assist the veterinarian before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian direction
- Provide nursing care and monitoring for emergency and critical care patients
- Perform ongoing triage assessment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples, and perform laboratory tests
- Provide wound and bandage care
- Counsel clients on animal health care
- Help mentor visiting practicum students and peers
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
What You Bring
- Registration as a Veterinary Technologist, or recent graduate preparing to write the Veterinary Technician National Examination
- A passion for emergency and critical care medicine for small animals
- The ability to recognize and manage multiple priorities, including ongoing triage assessment
- Commitment to maintaining professional registration and continuing education
- Strong team skills with excellent oral and written communication
- Accuracy, organization, flexibility, and initiative
- The physical ability to meet the demands of the role: standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
