Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) proudly opened its new, state-of-the-art facility in May 2024—an expansive, 100,000+ square foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. This milestone marks the continuation of over 40 years of dedicated service to our community. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. Thoughtful amenities—including feline-only waiting areas, a rehab unit, comfort rooms, and a serene zen garden—reflect our commitment to exceptional care for pets and their families.
We’re looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to keep Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) running at its best—inside and out. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you’ll oversee building systems, housekeeping, and grounds while driving strategic improvements that ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. Your work will directly support exceptional patient care and a safe, welcoming space for our team.
Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the overall facilities operations at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, including building systems, grounds, housekeeping services, and infrastructure. The role combines hands-on oversight with strategic planning, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. The position requires working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems, and the ability to respond quickly to facility issues and emergencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining the hospital’s physical environment to support patient care, staff safety, and regulatory compliance.

Compensation:
- The ideal salary range for the opportunity is $85,000-$100,000
Anticipated Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday – Friday
- 8am-4pm
- On Call Requirements (24/7)
- Night/Weekend availability as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, schedule, and support Facilities Coordinators, Technicians, and housekeeping staff.
- Oversee training, performance, and team development, fostering professionalism, safety, and collaboration.
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Manage daily operations for hospital buildings, grounds, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, life safety).
- Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and CMMS work orders.
- Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate seasonal tasks.
Vendor, Projects & Capital Improvements
- Manage vendor contracts, bids, and performance.
- Lead facility renovations, expansions, and special projects in collaboration with contractors and leadership.
- Ensure proper permits, licenses, and compliance documentation.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Maintain adherence to OSHA, building codes, infection control protocols, and hospital policies.
- Participate in audits, safety inspections, and emergency drills.
Budget & Asset Management
- Develop and monitor facilities budgets, track expenditures, and manage capital projects.
- Maintain equipment inventory, asset tagging, and lifecycle planning.
Emergency Preparedness
- Lead facilities team and hospital staff during emergencies; ensure readiness and coordinated response.
Customer Service & Culture
- Act as primary contact for facilities requests.
- Promote inclusivity, confidentiality, respectful communication, and a positive work environment.
- Available for weekend and on-call coverage.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5–10 years of experience in facilities operations, including HVAC systems, construction oversight, and maintenance management.
- At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a leadership role (lead, supervisor, manager).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising maintenance and custodial teams.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevator systems, and building automation.
- Experience using CMMS platforms to manage and track tasks.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and respond calmly in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements, local/state codes, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or Facilities Management preferred.
- Experience in 24/7 healthcare settings.
- CFM (Certified Facility Manager)
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare facility (veterinary or human healthcare)
- Bi-lingual preferred (English/Spanish)
