Compensation: $26 - $35/hr, based on experience and licensure.
Schedule: Full-Time, 4-day work week (rotating schedule; includes evenings/overnights)

About the Role:
As a Critical Care Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill and hospitalized patients. You’ll work alongside our ECC veterinarians to manage complex medical cases, assist with emergency procedures, and provide continuous, detail-oriented monitoring.
This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with life-saving interventions including mechanical ventilation, transfusions, and advanced diagnostics—all within a collaborative, team-focused environment where your skills truly matter.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide continuous monitoring of critically ill and post-operative patients, including vitals, pain assessment, and mentation
- Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Perform advanced nursing care including IV and urinary catheter placement, blood draws, and feeding tube management
- Administer medications, fluids, CRIs, and blood products safely and accurately
- Assist with emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, thoracocentesis, and abdominocentesis
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ECG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, capnography, and ventilators
- Perform in-house diagnostics including bloodwork, lactate, blood gas analysis, and cytology
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with ECC veterinarians and hospital teams to manage caseload and ensure continuity of care
- Support training and mentorship of assistants and junior technicians
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of ICU and treatment areas
What We’re Looking For:
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, or LVT) preferred; experienced veterinary assistants considered
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency, ICU, or specialty medicine strongly preferred
- RECOVER certification preferred
- Proficiency in advanced monitoring and critical care procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 50+ lbs with assistance
- A calm, focused, and compassionate approach to patient care
