Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) is a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital providing advanced medical care across the Hawaiian Islands. Our team of board-certified specialists and highly trained emergency professionals work collaboratively in a modern, state-of-the-art facility equipped with in-house laboratory services, ultrasonography, CT, MRI, and electrochemotherapy.
Our mission is to provide the highest standard of emergency and specialty veterinary medicine while delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients and their families.
We are seeking a full-time Client Care Representative to support front desk and client service operations in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital environment. This role is critical to ensuring a positive client experience by providing professional, compassionate, and efficient service at all times.
Compensation
- $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
- $2.00 per hour shift differential for overnight shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner
- Manage client check-ins, admissions, and discharges accurately
- Schedule appointments and coordinate emergency visits and follow-up care
- Educate clients on hospital services, policies, and procedures
- Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions accurately
- Prepare, review, and maintain medical records and client documentation
- Update and maintain client and patient records in compliance with legal and hospital requirements
- Communicate effectively with medical teams to support patient flow and client needs
- Perform administrative tasks including scanning, emailing, and document management
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and office software
- Ability to recognize when protocols do not apply and seek appropriate guidance
- Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
Veterinary or medical front desk experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare administration, or call center environments are encouraged to apply.
