About the Job:

Key Responsibilities:

Support the triage of incoming emergency patients with urgency and compassion
Monitor critical, injured, or fractious patients to ensure safety and stability
Assist in administering medications and treatments as directed by the veterinary team
Aid in emergency procedures and diagnostic testing
Prioritize patient comfort, cleanliness, and emotional well-being
Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations
Keep treatment areas clean and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
Accurately document patient care and updates in medical records.
Participate in continued learning, training, and skill development to support patient care excellence
Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range:

VA: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
$5.50/hr differential paid for any hours worked between 6pm - 6am

Swing Shift
Full-Time position, 4/10 schedule

Basic Required Qualifications:

High school diploma
2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer (waived if a valid CA-RVT license is held)
