Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting a dynamic veterinary hospital? Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) located in South Deerfield, is looking for a Hospital Administrative Assistant to help keep our hospital running smoothly!
Compensation:

  • $18 - $20
Anticipated Schedule:
  • Part time! 25 hours weekly.
  • Monday – Friday ,10a – 3p
About the Job:
As a key support to our Hospital Director, Operations Supervisor/HR Manager, OSHA/DEA Officer, and Inventory Specialist, you’ll play an essential role in daily hospital operations, including:
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new employees
  • Managing and filing personnel records, medical records, and vendor invoices
  • Overseeing dosimetry badge maintenance and quarterly swaps
  • Handling client-related tasks, such as managing forgotten items and unclaimed prescriptions
  • Organizing employee engagement activities and events
  • Data entry and administrative support as needed
  • Managing cremains organization and client returns
Inventory Support Responsibilities:
  • Verifying received items and ensuring accurate inventory tracking
  • Distributing and cycling inventory for proper stock management
  • Monitoring expiration dates and assisting with mandatory inventory counts
About You:
  • You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills aimed at establishing positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
  • You have the ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, including navigating stairs
  • You are able to work well independently and in a team environment, leading by example.
  • You exhibit flexibility, dependability, responsibility, and possesses excellent attention to detail.
  • You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people who share that same value.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.

Like human medical specialists, VESH supports primary care veterinarians with the evaluation and treatment of pets affected by trauma, chronic issues, serious illness, or unusual disorders requiring advanced training along with providing critical & emergency pet care.

We offer a variety of specialty services including Advanced Imaging (CT), Internal Medicine, Surgery, and of course Emergency and Critical Care.
