Compensation: $26.00 - $28.00/hour based on experience, plus overnight and weekend shift differentials
Schedule: Full-time, 5-day work week. Flexibility required to work days, swings, nights, and weekends as training needs dictate.

South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team as a Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator.
This is a unique opportunity for a credentialed technician who enjoys mentoring others, building training programs, and helping veterinary professionals grow their skills and confidence. You'll spend the majority of your time on the hospital floor coaching, developing, and supporting team members while helping create a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
At SAVES, you'll work alongside board-certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians in a collaborative, advanced specialty environment equipped with MRI, CT, endoscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound, and modern ICU monitoring technology.

What You'll Do:
As our Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our clinical support teams, including veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, client service representatives, and kennel attendants.
Responsibilities include:
Implementing and facilitating training programs that support hospital goals and elevate clinical, technical, and professional skills
Collaborating with hospital leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and deliver targeted learning initiatives
Overseeing onboarding and orientation programs for new team members
Creating engaging training experiences utilizing existing Ethos and hospital learning resources
Supporting career development and growth pathways for team members
Coaching associates and leaders to address skill gaps and improve performance
Maintaining training records, certifications, and compliance documentation
Evaluating training effectiveness and continuously improving educational programs
Leveraging learning management systems and digital training tools to enhance learning outcomes
Partnering with leadership, HR, and recruiting teams to support workforce development initiatives
Spending approximately 75% of your time on the hospital floor observing, coaching, training, and supporting associates, with 25% dedicated to administrative responsibilities
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
3+ years of veterinary clinical experience in a veterinary hospital, specialty practice, emergency hospital, or healthcare environment
Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of veterinary workflows and patient care standards
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire team members at varying skill levels
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience training, mentoring, onboarding, or leading veterinary support staff
Experience in emergency, specialty, or referral medicine
Passion for professional development, continuing education, and employee engagement
