Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Emergency Medicine Location: Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service – Pasco, WA (Tri-Cities Area)

UP TO $6,000 HIRING BONUS AVAILABLE!


Work Schedule:

  • Part-time or full-time veterinary technician positions available
  • Schedule options: Monday-Wednesday OR Thursday-Saturday - 6AM-6:30PM
  • Potential for rotating off weekend shift
  • 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts

Compensation & Perks for Veterinary Technicians:

  • Up to $6,000 LVT hiring bonus available
  • Base hourly pay range: $28.00–$32.00/hr depending on veterinary technician experience
  • Night shift differential: +$3.50/hr for licensed veterinary technician hours worked 6pm–6am
  • Weekend shift differential: +$0.50/hr for any Saturday or Sunday hours worked
  • Pay is determined by role, experience level, location, job-related veterinary skills, and relevant education or training in veterinary technology
  • Continuing education (CE) for veterinary technicians: Free monthly in-house RACE-approved CE courses and ongoing staff development opportunities

We are hiring responsible, compassionate, and dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technicians who are committed to high-quality emergency animal care and professional growth. If you are a Washington State LVT - whether you specialize in emergency medicine, critical care, triage, anesthesia monitoring, or general veterinary nursing - we want to meet you.

Required Qualifications for This Veterinary Technician Role:

  • Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in Washington State
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician Program (A.S. in Veterinary Technology or equivalent)
  • Passing score on the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with veterinary staff and pet owners
  • Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations for veterinary drug dosing, CRI (constant rate infusion) calculations, client estimates, and invoicing

Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service has expanded our veterinary doctor team and is actively hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to join our emergency animal hospital. Whether you are an experienced emergency veterinary technician, a critical care vet tech, or a newly licensed veterinary technician ready to launch your career in emergency and critical care medicine, we want to hear from you.

If you are passionate about emergency veterinary nursing, small animal emergency care, and practicing at the top of your veterinary technician license, you've come to the right place. We are prepared to mentor and develop skilled vet techs in advanced emergency medicine techniques. If you have strong foundations in animal restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter (IVC) placement, and accurate patient vital assessment, we will teach you the rest!
