Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) - Emergency & ICU

$30–$40+/hr for LVTs + Shift Differentials + Sign-On Bonus Available for Qualified Applicants

Full-time opportunity in Shoreline, WA

Schedule: Overnight, Saturday–Tuesday, 9pm–8am. Greatest staffing need currently falls within overnight coverage hours from Saturday through Tuesday. While final schedules may vary, we are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate when operationally feasible.

The Animal Medical Center of Seattle is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & ICU team. AMCS is a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty hospital serving the greater Seattle area with services including Emergency/Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, and Diagnostic Imaging.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Perform triage and assessment of incoming emergency patients
  • Provide nursing care and continuous monitoring for critically ill and hospitalized patients
  • Administer medications, fluid therapy, blood products, and advanced treatments
  • Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia, and sedation
  • Perform laboratory sample collection, testing, and radiology support
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients throughout the patient stay
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

  • Active Washington State LVT license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ER, ICU, or specialty experience preferred; willing to train and invest in the right motivated candidate
  • Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with interest in continued learning and professional development

  • Competitive compensation, including swing differential (+$2/hr, 4pm–12am) and overnight differential (+$4.50/hr, 12am–8am); potential annual earnings for full-time overnight technicians range from approximately $75,000–$100,000+
  • Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates, plus relocation assistance for eligible candidates
