Overnight Veterinary Assistant – Critical Care
Up to $30.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
Full-time opportunity in Concord, California
Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday | 10:30 PM–9:00 AM | Four 10-hour overnight shifts

As an Overnight Veterinary Assistant in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at SAGE Concord, you'll work alongside Emergency and Critical Care specialists, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and experienced support staff in one of Northern California's premier specialty hospitals.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Monitor hospitalized and critical care patients, documenting vital signs and changes in condition.
- Provide compassionate nursing support and comfort care for critically ill patients.
- Assist with examinations, treatments, procedures, diagnostic imaging, and patient preparation.
- Administer medications and assist with IV fluid preparation and treatments as directed.
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and controlled substance documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked Critical Care Unit.
- Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance.
- Work closely with veterinarians, RVTs, and support teams.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience; Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred.
- Strong venipuncture, patient handling, and mathematical calculation skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced critical care environment.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
