South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is hiring an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team in Asheville, NC. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized professional who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be an important part of an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital.

As a CSR, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our clients and will help coordinate a smooth, professional experience from check-in through discharge.

Compensation

  • $19–$21/hour based on experience

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Opening or mid shift
  • Weekend shifts may be required based on hospital scheduling needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, compassionate client service throughout the patient visit
  • Greet clients and visitors and manage patient check-ins and check-outs
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and help coordinate client and patient flow
  • Operate a multi-line phone system and manage incoming calls, texts, and emails
  • Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Review invoices, discuss payment options, and process client payments
  • Support clients through euthanasia paperwork and other sensitive situations with empathy
  • Send medical records, invoices, and other requested documentation
  • Accurately update patient records and complete end-of-shift reporting
  • Communicate and collaborate with clinical and specialty teams
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby
  • Support daily administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of veterinary office experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, including empathy and professionalism during sensitive situations
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning new software and technology
  • Experience with veterinary software, particularly ezyVet, preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and multi-line phone systems preferred
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with medical and administrative teams
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
