Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency (AVSE) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology team in Alpharetta, GA. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Technician who is passionate about advanced neurology, specialty medicine, and exceptional patient care. You'll work alongside our board-certified Neurologist while utilizing advanced technology in a collaborative, state-of-the-art specialty hospital.

Compensation

  • $25–$35/hour based on experience and credentials

  • Additional shift differentials available

  • Up to $1,500 Sign-On Bonus for CVT/LVT/RVT candidates

  • $750 Sign-On Bonus available for qualified Veterinary Assistants

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • Four 10-hour day shifts

  • 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

  • Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional nursing care for neurology patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and recovery.

  • Assist the Neurologist with examinations, consultations, diagnostics, and advanced procedures.

  • Monitor anesthesia and recover patients undergoing neurological procedures and imaging.

  • Perform advanced Veterinary Technician skills including catheter placement, blood collection, medication administration, laboratory sample collection, and patient monitoring.

  • Assist with MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and other advanced diagnostic procedures.

  • Monitor hospitalized neurology patients and communicate changes in patient condition to the medical team.

  • Educate and support clients regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

  • Maintain accurate medical records using EzyVet and SmartFlow.

  • Collaborate with specialists, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service Representatives to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment environment while following hospital safety protocols.

  • Support a positive, collaborative team culture focused on continuous learning and exceptional medicine.

Qualifications

  • CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred

  • Experienced Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply

  • Previous specialty, emergency, or neurology experience preferred

  • Strong technical Veterinary Technician skills and anesthesia experience preferred

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialty hospital

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional patient care

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary veterinary team

  • Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow preferred

  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus

  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
