Compensation: $16.00-19.50/hr, based on experience. 

Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts.

Are you passionate about animals and people? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where every day is different? Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral (ECVR) is seeking a professional, compassionate Client Services Representative to join our specialty team.

🐾 About the Role:

As a vital member of our front desk team, you’ll serve as the face of our hospital—providing outstanding service to our clients and crucial support to our medical teams. This position works directly with 6–8 specialty veterinarians in departments including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

✨ Responsibilities:

  • Answering high-volume phone calls and routing them appropriately
  • Scheduling new patient consults and follow-up appointments
  • Managing patient discharges and check-outs with accuracy and empathy
  • Reviewing and organizing referrals and medical records
  • Communicating with clients about upcoming visits and care plans
  • Coordinating appointment flow across multiple departments and specialists
  • Providing professional and friendly service at all times—both in person and over the phone

✅ Requirements:

  • Previous veterinary or medical reception experience preferred (specialty or referral experience is a plus!)
  • Comfortable handling multi-line phones, detailed scheduling, and fast-paced interactions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and remain calm under pressure
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
