Job Description
The Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Patient Care Personnel (PCP) role is to support diagnostic imaging needs associated with imaging modalities currently at AVES including x-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy. All DI support will be directed by the clinical manager to ensure that all services are equally supported.

Responsibilities
  • Aide specialty services in performing cross sectional imaging (CT and MRI); timing based on the needs of the department and patient care.
  • Aide all departments in performing x-rays by collaboration with department leads and reviewing radiology suite scheduler in Ezyvet.
  • Aide specialty services in performing fluoroscopy procedures on an as needed basis.
  • Aide all departments in coordination and restraint for ultrasound
  • Aide leadership in creation and modifications of SOPs.
  • Provide training to AVES support staff on all imaging modalities on an as needed basis.
  • Run monthly quality control on imaging units (x-ray and CT)
  • Maintain and audit monthly CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets x-ray log
  • Help maintain inventory for DI needs.
Additional Duties:
  • Once completion of all DI and inventory responsibilities are maintained, the DI PCP will be assigned to AVES departments on an as needed basis to support patient care needs of the hospital.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technicians with at least 3 years of experience, dedicated to providing outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
