Schedule: Full-Time | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Compensation: $23–$32+/hour based on experience and skill set + $5/hour differential from 11:00pm–6:00am


Bulger Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Radiology Veterinary Technician in Lawrence, MA to join our growing Radiology department. This is an opportunity to expand your diagnostic imaging skills with digital radiography, ultrasound, and CT while working alongside a collaborative specialty and emergency veterinary team.

Bulger supports continued technician growth, including internal support toward CVT/LVT credentialing. Credentialed Veterinary Technicians also have opportunities to expand their specialty skill set and work toward a VTS.

Compensation

  • $23–$32+/hour based on experience and skill set
  • $5/hour shift differential for hours worked between 11:00pm–6:00am

Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Technician in Radiology, you will:
  • Manage diagnostic requests through the hospital information system
  • Maintain the radiography imaging database and modify images for accuracy
  • Attach external imaging to the hospital database
  • Maintain accurate records and appropriate par levels of medical supplies
  • Partner with DVMs on inpatient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Utilize multiple imaging modalities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and CT, to support patient assessment
  • Execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation events
  • Train to develop knowledge of and proficiency with the proper operation of the Computed Tomography (CT) scanner
  • Practice proper radiation safety
  • Support high-quality patient care within a collaborative specialty and emergency animal hospital environment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required; 3+ years of veterinary experience preferred
  • CVT or LVT preferred, but not required
    • Recent graduates with an associate's or bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will also be considered
  • Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to quality medicine, patient care, and client service
  • Strong computer skills and comfort working within a paperless information system
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexible, cooperative, dependable, and responsible, with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
