Welcome to Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC)! We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties. We are seeking a Temporary Inventory Coordinator to assist our team 11/24/2025 - 12/31/2025.

About the Role: The Temporary Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for the temporary management and procurement of all supplies/inventory in the hospital.

Compensation: $20-$24 hourly DOE

Schedule: This position will work Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm starting Monday, November 24th 2025 and ending Wednesday, December 31st 2025. This position will not work Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, these will be unpaid holidays off.

Essential Job Functions: 
Procurement and Management of Inventory:

  • Procurement of supplies/inventory needed for patient care and operations of the hospital using established and approved vendors.
  • Uses critical thinking to identify alternate suppliers and solutions when there are supply chain shortages.
  • Proactively communicates and escalates anticipated inventory shortages and back orders, proposing alternative solutions.
  • Ensure the inventory shelves are always stocked for hospital use based on minimums and maximums. 
  • Manages and organizes inventory room that supports efficiency and ease of use by all users.
  • Partner with departments and manage inventory of department-specific inventory.
  • Timely collection of deliveries.  Unpack and put away all daily deliveries in a timely manner, keeping the inventory room clean and organized.  Disposes of boxes and packing material quickly and responsibly.
  • Procurement of emergency goods locally (mostly blood products and pharmaceuticals) that requires providing own transportation to and from (mileage is reimbursed).
  • Daily monitoring of the blood stock supply, disposal of expired blood and fresh frozen plasma as needed and purchase new blood stock for hospital as needed.
  • Assist in keeping the Cubex stocked in partnership with the Pharmacy Technician.
  • Return unused or unneeded medications to stock when necessary under the guidance of the Pharmacy Technician.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications: This job is physically active and may require frequent bending. It also requires routine lifting of packages in excess of 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and use hands. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Online Procurement.

Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of inventory experience preferred. Veterinary experiences will be considered in lieu of inventory experience.

Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. 

Language Ability: Ability to speak in an understandable manner and understand the English language.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment is predominantly indoors.
