Veterinary Clinical Supervisor

Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI is seeking a dedicated Clinical Supervisor to oversee our 3rd shift ER team.
Up to $3000 Sign-On Bonus Structure Available to Experienced CVT Candidates!
Compensation: Starting at $30/hr, based on experience and licensure
Schedule: Two 9-hour and Two 10-hour shifts per week or Three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Summary:
Under general supervision of the Hospital Director, and direct supervision of a Hospital Service Manager, this individual leads the clinical team with a focus on high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, supportive and personalized care for all clients and patients. Ensures adequate staffing levels support staff across designated departments in order to provide effective medical services and an optimal client experience. Serves as the liaisons between leadership and the staff. Supports and exemplifies the mission, vision and core values of the company.
Responsibilities (in addition to technical responsibilities):
- This role requires 25% admin and 75% clinical work. 25% admin work will supervise the Emergency Department. 75% clinical work will be as an Emergency technician.
- Participates in identifying and planning for staffing consistent with needs of client population and budgetary parameters.
- Understands workflow of the departments which include internal medicine and cardiology.
- Provides input with problem-solving efforts for daily operations.
- Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships across the hospital.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, communication, and cooperation among team members
- Advocates satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Serves as the hospital “go to” in accordance with assigned duty schedule.
- Collaborates with staff at all levels and departments to streamline delivery of services without compromising care or hospitality.
- Participates in hiring and on-boarding of staff and coaching.
- Coordinates the required training and skills of staff.
- Responsible for establishing staff schedule.
Education, License and Job Requirements:
- CVT required for the position.
- Proficient in critical nursing care, emergency and ICU experience, anesthesia preparation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery.
- Experience in supervisor or leadership role desired.
Skills and Experience:
- Must possess and demonstrate effective leadership qualities.
- Ability to promote effective oral and written communication amongst team members.
- Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions
- Proven ability to lead by example
