Veterinary Technician, Internal Medicine

$22–31/hour
Full-time opportunity in Hunt Valley, Maryland
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week, with on-call rotation as needed

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to Internal Medicine patients throughout diagnostics and treatment.

  • Collaborate closely with Internal Medicine specialists to provide outstanding patient and client care.

  • Practice safe, low-stress patient handling techniques.

  • Obtain blood samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.

  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs.

  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and efficiently.

  • Assist with patient appointments, examinations, and client communication.

  • Support anesthetic procedures and endoscopy cases.

  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care instructions.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, clients, and team members.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong teamwork in every aspect of patient care.

  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Two to three years of veterinary experience, preferably in a specialty hospital.

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred but not required.

  • Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, medication administration, and patient care.

  • Excellent communication and client education skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced specialty environment.
