In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Provide compassionate nursing care and monitoring for Internal Medicine patients.
- Assist with advanced diagnostics, including bloodwork, imaging, endoscopy, biopsies, and aspiration cytology.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments under veterinarian supervision.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Educate clients on treatment plans, home care, and patient progress.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and specialty teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advances in Internal Medicine through continuing education.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
What You Bring
- High school diploma required.
- Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license preferred.
- Experience in specialty veterinary medicine, particularly Internal Medicine, preferred.
- Strong venipuncture, patient handling, and mathematical calculation skills.
- Ability to calculate drug dosages, CRIs, client estimates, and invoices accurately.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment.
