Premier Veterinary Group in Mundelein, IL is seeking a passionate and experienced Veterinary Technician Learning & Development Specialist to support the growth and success of our Emergency and Critical Care team.

You’ll lead by example in a hands-on capacity within our ICU, while also planning and executing training programs that elevate clinical skills and patient care across the hospital.
What You’ll Do
Deliver hands-on clinical training for Veterinary Assistants and Technicians using a direct or “train-the-trainer” approach
Lead new hire training, development plans, and ongoing coaching
Plan and present in-service training sessions, supported by our broader Learning & Development (L&D) team
Oversee technician protocol development, implementation, and sign-off processes
Track training progress and skill development across all technician levels
Partner with hospital leadership and L&D teams to support CE planning and speaker coordination
Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence
What You’ll Need
Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) – required
Minimum 5 years of ER/ICU experience – required
Proficient in basic to advanced technical skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience mentoring or training others is a big plus
Flexible schedule availability (days, nights, weekends may apply)
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
